1. Solidarity is built from the ground up and solidarity is what builds coalitions and movements

2. Asking marginalized communities time and again to sacrifice their needs in the name of the greater good has diminishing returns

A D&D Stirge detaches after draining 10 HP of blood. Therefore HP are a measurable unit of blood (I estimate 200ml per HP).

Characters with high HP might have hundreds of liters contained in their bodies at high pressure. Even light nicks tend to spray anime-style.

The most memorable protest of my life was on Michigan Avenue in the Fall of ‘02, opposing the war. The peaceful crowd was so large we closed down the street. I’d never felt so…PROUD to live in a country, even one I was angry with, who protected us loudly opposing policy.
