Always tired.
It’s 4pm on this Southern Rail train to Ore and a Monday, but nonetheless, there is a man holding a green bottle of macro lager sitting in the luggage rack.

Stay gold, Ponyboy.

I am pleased to announce that I run with the sort of folks who will pack out a karaoke booth at a bowling alley if I start a WhatsApp group to instigate it.

Tracklist for karaoke sadly does not include The Rat by The Walkmen but I suppose I can’t have everything.

The perfume company I have been buying scents off of for over two decades is releasing a fragrance called Ceaselessly By My Side The Demon Stirs and the name and the scent description is completely my jam right now.

I had such a lovely time at These Hills on the weekend. The folks at Beak are really good at this sort of thing.

Working the last beer festival the brewery I work for is taking part in this weekend, and then we are DONE for external festivals for the year.

Cannot wait to get back to some video games I haven't touched in too long, as well as work on some TTRPG nonsense.

So wild that the Shoreditch site is closing, considering how it was once BrewDog's busiest bar.

Folks, if you have a business or brand, how does Bluesky fit into your social media promo, if at all?

I did see @totalcurtis.bsky.social musing about personal usage of Bluesky but what do we think about its use for businesses, particularly in the drinks industry? Is it relevant?

I was working at a beer festival all day yesterday and had a guy from Northern Ireland ask my if I was Irish.

He did not seem that drunk.

Apart from the rhotic “R”s, I absolutely do not sound Irish.

(I think?????)

Honestly forgot it was US Independence Day until a colleague wished me a Happy 4th of July.

Hooray, we freed ourselves from the yoke of tyranny oh wait.

Is there anything more infuriating and Catch-22-esque than using the Ryanair website and the fact that it forces you to download their app in order to get your boarding passes?

The US gov under Trump has made it clear that only *positive* views of concentration camps will be allowed, thank you. The new signs at Manzanar National Historic Site ask visitors to report any depictions that "inappropriately disparage Americans past or living.”

Signs to police 'negative' history went up at Manzanar. Historians are nervous.

Aaaah, it's gotten warm enough for me to reminisce about that time I drank through a whole case of Evil Twin Nomader Weisse at The Kings Arms in Bethnal Green over the course of several visits in a month.

I miss that beer. Is it even sold in the UK now?

Absolutely screaming that Chie and Hide of Pigalle are featured in this week's @pelliclemag.com drop.

When I worked at a Manchester brewery and got the chance to go to Japan for work, the brewery had a tap takeover at Pigalle. It's honestly wonderous. www.pelliclemag.com/home/2025/5/...
