My buddy Anthony finished up reading the entire Four Color Grimoire and released the second half today. It's weird to hear your own words come out of someone else's mouth.

When my wife was pregnant with our son she suffered from debilitating migraines on a pretty regular basis. Tylenol was the ONLY thing she could take to alleviate the pain. It's not about "toughing it out," it's about quality of life. Women aren't just goddamn baby receptacles, for fucks sake.

As the frog began to drown after the scorpion told him why he stung him, the answer to all of his problems suddenly dawned on him:
"More scorpions! I just needed more scorpions all along!"
Did I get that folk tale right?

America, y'all are so disappointing sometimes. Quit clutching pearls and be honest about a bad person dying in a bad way instead of saluting the asshole.

Here are some things that Charlie Kirk said in his life.

The man is dead, and so it only seems fair to share his legacy by cataloguing the values he spread while alive.

It's important to remember that fascists work to foster a dog-eat-dog atmosphere where people look out for themselves and throw others under the bus. We don't have to live this way or think this way, no matter what the fascists say. Through all of this, it's important to help others when we're able.

Even my 74 year old mother, living in the back end of nowhere in the deep, deep woods, had a school that didn't allow guns and didn't want kids bringing them in.
She DID see a school shooting though, when a kid blew a teacher's head off.
Guess what wasn't commonly prescribed then
Anti-depressants

It's a full-on gun culture there and has been FOREVER. Getting my first gun and my gun handling permit were rights of passage, even though my dad wasn't really a hunter.
And even with that they knew guns shouldn't be in schools and sure as shit didn't encourage us to carry them on the regular.

I grew up in rural Minnesota. The only time of year kids brought guns to (high) school was deer hunting season and they had to hide them in their cars because guns were banned from the premises. This was pre-Columbine. This ghoul is talking straight out of his ass.

RFK Jr: We had lots of guns when we were kids. Kids brought guns to school and were encouraged to do so. And nobody was walking into schools and shooting people. There are many things that could explain this. One is the dependence on psychiatric drugs.

That's pretty horrible but it's still not the same as using AI. At the very least, no matter how unethical it was, Cebulski was creating work himself while crediting it to a person that didn't exist. He wasn't using tech to steal the work of others and saying it was the inevitable future.
outleteric.bsky.social
I see where you're coming from but that would also assume that AI comics could draw in a new, bigger audience to fill in the loss of the old one it would alienate. Like Twitter, it wouldn't go well and Marvel would be hemorrhaging money they can't afford to lose.
outleteric.bsky.social
Working under a pseudonym is a far cry from allowing AI in as a creative tool. I agree that Marvel cares about nothing but money but creators ranging from Christopher Priest to nearly everyone in 2000AD in the 70's have worked under alternative identities for some reason or another.
outleteric.bsky.social
I disagree. I think about the pushback both Farlane got for allowing an AI cover to win an art contest and the artist for the bat books who got caught "enhancing" his work with AI and can't see fans reaching that level of acceptance for this tech.
outleteric.bsky.social
It's weird to see an editor so happily embrace a technology that will replace jobs like his way before it could ever truly replace jobs like yours. People don't stand for AI in comic art but they'll never notice when an editor credit is suddenly gone.

You have the power stance of a paper bag full of KY jelly, Chuck. Maybe you shouldn't have voted for the cloture that allowed him to become confirmed in the first place?
