Again, in terms of raw impact and prolly even raw hype and popularity there's no contest, even artists today like Beyoncé I'd say are more BELOVED than Taylor...

...but if you ask basically anyone "have you heard the new album" rn, they'd know you mean Taylor. No one else in the 2020s can do that.

On The Beatles v. Taylor Swift:

The Beatles obviously have more musical impact, zero contest there.

However, regarding raw popularity, the Beatles were just Elvis & Frank Sinatra on steroids.

No other artist in ANY medium besides Taylor Swift is a true monoculture force in the social media age.

I think "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" exemplifies American culture more than any other art piece.

Most cultures' folklore involves cautionary tales warning people not to tempt the devil.

The American version has the challenger win because he is way cooler than the devil.

Correct. Taylor Swift is a billionaire, she's the biggest celebrity in the world, and every music streaming platform is plastered with the album's branding and ads.

If the album is mediocre (like it is), it will be overhated for those reasons, and I'd argue it completely deserves it.
