Ahhh man, how lucky were we to live at the same time as Victoria Wood? Still quote her to this day. Was recently in a hospital corridor waiting for a bed and the list of other patients was on a whiteboard. Was able to make jokes with my Mom when I noticed the names Freda & Barry.

Just finished watching Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story, which aired on BBC2 on Christmas night. It's on iPlayer for the next month. If you love the film or just filmmaking in general, I highly recommend it. Really enjoyable, and good to see @thedailyjaws.bsky.social popping up in it.

I really want a public service broadcaster but honestly the BBC do themselves no favours. It's a long list and tonight it's them having a 'Would I Lie to You' Christmas special with Walliams on. Before the recent news, it's been long held that he's problematic so why have him on?

Having watched our favourite Christmas snuff films 'The Snowman' and 'The Snowman and the Snowdog' we're now about to settle down and watch a rich kid abandoned by his parents at Christmas. Although obviously Kevin really could've got help if he wanted and just wanted a bit of aggro with the thieves

The way that several media outlets are minimising this story is a very, very good indication of how comfortable they are with racist ideas in private.
The only benefit of watching people deny the clearly fascist gestures that they just saw at Trump’s inauguration is that you don’t have to waste your time convincing them. They’ve done you a favour. Seek out and work with everyone who sees this for what it is. There are plenty of them.

Saw an American "progressive" with quite a substantial following (on Twitter) deadnaming Caitlyn Jenner. You do know that you can illustrate the point of Trump's words and actions being scary as fuck to LGBTQ+ folk without deadnaming someone, even if you dislike them/their politics intensely.
