my wife introduced me to a group called "negativland" and they're very early and fun examples of plunderphonics (think YTPMVs and neil cicierega's mouth albums) :3 we have this album, Helter Stupid on vinyl, very good listen and kind of a crazy story behind its creation hahaha

oooh okay, i think i saw another reply recommend tetsuo the iron man and i would second that in that case, very good body horror/gay subtext

doubling down on my recommendation for hausu because aside from also being my favorite horror movie, it's specifically going for a kind of horror reminiscent of a little kid's weird fears and nightmares (and it's goofy as hell so if you're easily scared it breaks it up a bit)
