And don't forget that pandemics historically bring about fascism. Once you get used to the mass death and disability, it makes it a lot easier to manufacture consent to kill "healthy/regular" ppl
people think fascism means "one giant conflict and conflagration, open warfare everywhere at all times, no one is going to work anymore, all ordinary life has halted for everyone" and like, yeah, it could go that way, but that's not the baseline reality of fascism, that's the endpoint
