What do you have to fall back on if statistically immigrants committed more crimes? Do not quibble about statistics, they will lie; fight them on morality, where they do not have an answer to why freedom of movement is good for everyone, and we should not be tied down by circumstance to anywhere

It does not matter if immigrants commit fewer crimes. In fact, it would not matter if every immigrant committed crimes. Immigration is still good, freedom of movement is foundational to humanity, and every restriction on freedom of movement by the state is itself a criminal act by the state
