CNN: “An older couple making $85K/year will see their yearly insurance premiums jump from $7K to $25,000 — 30% of their income.” 😳#TrumpShutdown #TrumpHealthCareTax

This is what Dems are drawing attention to and want fixed. Now, not later.

Also - these data centers are making entire communities sick and destroying the environment….
rbreich.bsky.social
Data centers are receiving billions in state tax exemptions.

These centers, many owned by Big Tech giants, are driving up electric bills and sucking up huge amounts of water.

AI is boosting the stock portfolios of the richest Americans while everyone else pays the price.

Stephen Miller said the quiet part out loud. Trump has “plenary authority,” then suddenly went silent. Their plan wasn’t to be public yet. Clearly, someone hit the panic button in his earpiece.

It gets weirder: CNN uploaded the interview with the “plenary authority” comment edited out.

This really makes it sound like a Border Patrol agent tried to kill an anti-ICE activist in Chicago and DHS lied to cover for him

Letting the health care tax credits expire would devastate American families — and we’re making that crystal clear by giving you the data.

We’ve built graphics showing how much costs would rise in every GOP district.

Let’s start with Mike Johnson (R-LA):

ICE admits that up to 50% of arrests in its Chicago raids are "collateral.” These aren't statistics. They are parents taken from their children, neighbors taken from our communities. When does a "collateral" U.S. citizen child's trauma matter? This isn't law enforcement; it's a campaign of terror.

God bless everyone who calmly and compassionately stopped and advocated for this man. Community action does work. ❤️

It’s not that hard - we know what to do to make the world a better place.

We just need elected officials to have the courage to do it.

Or - vote in people who will work for us and not their donors.

Wow, they did all that and got *two* suspected gang members? Suspected? Wow. And two of them? Wow.

Plus a guy with a previous charge of marihuana possession? Wow.

Wow, that is impressive. Wow, when are we throwing these heroes a parade? Wow.

DHS says an operation last week in which agents raided a Chicago apartment building, rappelled in from helicopters, broke down doors and detained numerous residents, resulted in the arrest of two suspected gang members.

Repeating: The psychological harm we are inflicting on these children is immense. Even witnessing a parent's arrest can harm children's mental health, but being arrested as a child/teen decreases chances of graduating high school & increases chances of anxiety, depression & unemployment as an adult.
Watson said she saw agents dragging residents, including kids, out of the building without any clothes on and into U-Haul vans. Kids were separated from their mothers, she said.

“It was heartbreaking to watch,” said Watson. “Even if you’re not a mother, seeing kids coming out buck naked and taken from their mothers, it was horrible.”

This is such great news!! Just what we need at this time or any time!

Congrats @mychal3ts.bsky.social !!!

Any chance for an episode for older (Reading Rainbow alum) readers? 😊😊😊

There have been two hosts in the history of Reading Rainbow. The Legend of Literacy, LeVar Burton! And... me, Mychal Threets, a librarian 🥹🤯

I am a reader, a librarian because LeVar Burton and Reading Rainbow made us believe and see we belong in books, we belong everywhere ✨

Smiling Mychal with hands raised wears an outer space shirt in a library. It is a still from an episode of Reading Rainbow. LeVar Burton smiles with hands behind his head as he lies down on a colorful pile of books. ENEMY PIE book rests on his chest.

One day’s sales….that’s all it would take.

Starbucks should do the right thing and support their hard working employees.
sbworkersunited.org
Starbucks workers shouldn't be living paycheck to paycheck when CEO Brian Niccol has the highest CEO-to-worker pay gap in the country. It would take only A SINGLE DAY’S sales to finalize fair union contracts. JUST ONE DAY.

hey @nytimes.com: there is no counterpoint here. There are no credible legal experts who would EVER say that the US military has any right or authority to blow civilian craft out of the Caribbean and kill their crews from afar without any provocation. There is no other side to this question.
"Some legal experts have called it a crime to summarily kill civilians not directly taking part in hostilities, even if they are believed to be smuggling drugs."

NEW: Rachel Maddow drops unseen bodycam footage of feds coordinating the arrest of Newark Mayor Baraka.

I REPEAT: the feds ordered his arrest even though he wasn’t breaking any laws.

Federal agent: “We are arresting the mayor right now per the Deputy Attorney General of the United States.”

This is the President explicitly threatening to withhold federal funds from New York City if voters elect a candidate he opposes.

This is an unlawful attempt to coerce voters through federal financial threats and a textbook example of voter intimidation to influence the outcome of a local election.

There is no bailout that will solve this problem.

It took decades to create the markets for beans and months to devastate the markets for beans.

NY Times: China Bought $12.6 Billion in U.S. Soybeans Last Year. [52% of exports] Now, It’s $0.

It certainly appears the United States murdered an innocent fisherman who was a husband and father to four children, claimed he was a "narco-terrorist," posted a video of the execution, and then made jokes about it
