And, on a more personal note, to me, she was the love of my life. The FUNNIEST person I had ever met. Immensely sweet, ever-present and just caring. Talking into the wee hours of the morning just chatting, unironically engaging in the "no you hang up" a handful of times. Enjoying games together, watching shows and movies together, and our one, magical IRL meetup for 10 wonderful days during FWA last year. The memories from that brief stint were some of the happiest I've had, and I'm beyond overjoyed that I was able to have them. Hookie was closer to me than anyone else in the world, I think. Maybe some were as close to me as she was, but none closer. We talked about our favorite animes, we talked about games, our OC's and how they'd interact, even got a couple of our characters married in canon. I've known her for years.
