We went yesterday and bought quite a few items. The only thing we couldn't find was black salt, which they said they'd get in for us next week. The owners/managers were very nice and helpful, it's great to have this store in the 'hood!

If you're boycotting produce from the US because of tariffs these days, make sure to check the small print on the actual labels on the produce before adding to your cart. Don't rely on the ones stores like Thrifty Foods include on the shelves. We made that mistake at Hillside Mall yesterday. #yyj

Beacon Hill Park is really special in the early evening, with the sun lowering in the west and the light slanting in from the side to illumine the trees and bushes. And you don't see them in the photo, but there were lots of peacocks, just hanging around! #beaconHillPark #yyj #VictoriaBC

The first two posts are very similar in the way the content is formatted, as are the handles, or usernames, for the two users, in that they both follow a very similar formatting (l-una9.bsky.social and p-rincess5.bsky.social). They look suspiciously like bot accounts.

A beautiful stained glass window in the British Columbia legislature building. According to the text beneath the BC coat of arms in the window, it was installed to celebrate the golden jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. On the left and right sides of the stained glass window there are some animals native to BC displayed. A bear, a sea otter, some salmon, a bald eagle, a moose, a cougar, and an orca. The upper left hand pane of glass is not displayed, so I don't know which type of animal was depicted there.

A single, lonesome plant with pink flowers grows up from a small crack at ground level beside a grey concrete wall. The rest of the ground area is also grey concrete and so at first glance it seems the environment is desolate and inhospitable to anything that grows. Yet life manages to gain a foothold and survives against all odds.

Saw the dress rehearsal of #SendMeNoFlowers at the #LanghamCourtTheatre tonight. A cute play with some good laughs (loved the drunk neighbour/lawyer and doctor characters!), as well as some quirky b&w scenes projected onto a revolving screen (watch the fireplace!). The sixties-style set was amazing!
A theatre stage arranged as a living room from the 1960s, with authentic looking furniture, décor, and burnt orange walls. Very mid-century looking.

Nice! There used to be a dog Stick Library at Cook Street and Dallas Road, right in front of the entrance to Spiral Beach back in 2020. Don't know what happened to it because it's no longer there unfortunately. Woof! #yyj #victoriaBC 🐶
A wooden crate filled with sticks of all shapes and sizes displays a sign reading "Stick Library" and a cutout shaped like a dog's paw. The photo was taken back in February 2020. Any dog could take a stick and bring it down to Spiral Beach, Victoria BC, for a fun time.
