In a similar vein - here’s a story about how the government wants to reduce the use of taxis for asylum seekers. 5 minutes later - the government plans to move asylum seekers to the middle of nowhere with no transport links. Why is this not called out as the same story?

Yes. I have sympathy for Chris Hoy and the other people with cancer, but maybe let’s use some actual data in determining public policy

More or less. There are a few bits of incompatibility and the local nature makes it somewhat inconsistent at a national level.

But only one of these use cases is being considered - the new job. How often does this happen?
Ultimately if this will save £100/year and cost £25 to implement it might be worth it. If it costs billions (it will and then some) how much value will it actually generate?
