Stop and Investigate Trump’s Luxury Jet "Gift" from Qatar
Text SIGN PIQXHS to 50409 — This is very simple: Donald Trump cannot be allowed to take a $400 million “gift” from Qatar’s royal family. Congress needs to put a stop to this immediately, and we need a full independent investigation with both congressional hearings and the appointment of a special counsel. We need to know what Trump agreed to do for a foreign government in exchange for this “flying palace.” We need to know whether this deal violates bribery laws or the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution. And we need to know exactly how taxpayer-funded lawyers at the Department of Justice and the White House counsel’s office decided this was okay, especially in light of Attorney General Pam Bondi’s history as a lobbyist for Qatar. From the Founding Fathers on, Americans have made it clear we do not want our leaders to be for sale to the rest of the world. Right now, the White House is up for auction to the highest bidder. You would have to be a complete sucker to believe that Qatar is giving our president a luxury jet out of the goodness of their hearts. This is blatant corruption, right out in the open. Congress cannot stand by and let it happen. Act, or be complicit.

🖋️ “Halt Qatar's Gift to Trump, Violates Emoluments Clause” hit 100 signers!

Halt Qatar's Gift to Trump, Violates Emoluments Clause
Text SIGN PEBRBJ to 50409 — The proposed arrangement of accepting a luxurious Boeing 747-8 aircraft as a gift from Qatar for President Trump's use raises serious constitutional concerns under the Emoluments Clause. This clause prohibits federal officials from receiving any present or emolument from a foreign state without Congressional consent. The intent is to prevent foreign influence and corruption. While the administration has drafted a legal analysis claiming this gift does not violate the clause since it is being given to the Air Force and eventually the presidential library, not directly to the President, this appears to be a loophole circumventing the clear spirit and purpose of the Emoluments Clause. A $400 million gift of this nature from a foreign government explicitly for the President's personal use and benefit carries clear risks of improper foreign influence. As members of Congress, you have a Constitutional duty to provide oversight and approval for any such valuable foreign gift to a federal official. Allowing this to proceed without your explicit consent would be an abdication of your responsibilities and could enable further erosion of this critical anti-corruption principle. Stringent adherence to the Emoluments Clause is essential to maintaining integrity and independence in government. I urge you to firmly object to this arrangement and require Congressional approval before allowing it to advance.
