Das Kulturjahr 2025 in Südtirol war geprägt von bedeutenden Ereignissen und Persönlichkeiten, darunter Michael Gaismair, Miriam Unterthiner und Philipp Egger. Höhepunkte waren Theateraufführungen, Ausstellungen und Auszeichnungen für Künstler wie Herbert Pixner und Julia Frank.

Last year, I was captivated by the wild beauty of the Friulian Dolomites while ski touring. I vowed to return with my bike. This time, my wife, daughter, and I, all avid gravel cyclists, journeyed from Dobbiaco to the sea via scenic routes like Vajont. It was an amazing experience!

We have to acknowledge the noone takes Italy seriously. And I don’t wonder about it.
I don’t like the ready-made mush in bikepacking. I couldn’t care less about all those cycling paths, green ways and cycling routes. I have an idea and then I realize it. Like this week. So fantastic riding through the wild Friuli Dolomites and the until the sea. With my two beauties.

We had been eyeing this mysterious valley on the map for quite some time. Nestled in central Italy's Marche Region, it stretches from the renowned Renaissance town of Urbino down to the majestic Sibillini Mountains. We weren't even sure if it had a name, but our curiosity led us to explore it.

Last time in the US the institutions failed and the opposition could not get through it’s concerns via the democratic way, the only way possible was (civil) war and the bloodiest war ever fought in the americas. The US is not that far away from such a situation right now.

Die Zahl der gewaltsamen Übergriffe auf Journalisten hat sich 2024 verdoppelt. Die Zahl der rechtsextremen Angriffe hat 2024 wieder einen Rekord geknackt. Und kaum jemand kriegt das mit, weil diese täglichen Attacken selten Brennpunkte und Breaking News kriegen. Dieser blinde Fleck ist gefährlich.

@Witkoff! Language does not mean identity . I’m am a german native speaker, but always lived in Italy. I no way do I feel german or austrian.

IDK, but maybe we should reconsider our definition of state/country. Perhaps it's gonna be less about territory, less about EU, Canada, US. The communities of the future will join along ideology, mentality, attitude.
