I hate framing education as customer service, or as a product to be bought. I would prefer if that weren't the case. I would prefer a serious, spirited defence of the kind of subjects that are relentlessly under attack. But in practical, real terms - it's students' own money, fuck off.

and there's the rub, right? This was always anti-intellectual bollocks as a policy, but doubly so under the current system - this amounts to the leader of the Conservative Party saying that the government should forcibly limit the market's offering to paying consumers.

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

that's definitely a big part of it, though even promo-wise it felt flat because too many of them were pre-tapes - would it kill them to give Mark Briscoe or Eddie Kingston a live mic in front of an audience?!

there was no Toni Storm or Kris Statlander. No indication of an actual PPV programme for Mercedes Moné. No further developments towards the Women's Blood & Guts match. No words on what Shibata's injury and Joe going after the World Title means for the Trios Titles.

the issue with Dynamite most weeks lately is that it's solid, and it's lining up some matches for Wrestledream, but nothing feels like it has any real forward momentum. There was zero follow-up on this show of Andrade debuting last week, and El Clon was just room meat in someone else's promo.

Brodido vs. Okada & Takeshita never felt like it escalated in terms of workrate, or in terms of moving forward the Okada & Takeshita storyline. Hopefully that's because they were leaving a lot in the tank for the rematch, and trying to protect Bandido.

I only watch Dynamite, very rarely have time to watch Collision. That he hasn't shown up in front of a live audience on the main show since returning is ridiculous!

they seem to be leaning into Sammy just not speaking very good Spanish, which would be a funny bit if Don Callis hadn't already been doing it for months in his Hechicero introductions.

What's going on with Ortiz? He's still listed on the roster, could be a good addition to Eddie and Hook.

Sammy Guevara isn't *quite* as miscast in LFI as he was as a babyface, but he's still miscast enough to make me dislike a segment with Beast Mortos wearing sunglasses.

The first sign of Eddie Kingston on Dynamite since he returned and it's a ten second pre-tape! I despair.

there were some interesting conversations about who might answer Mercedes' open challenge, and - no offence to Lacey Lane - they went with none of them. As a rule, you don't want the surprise opponent after a week of speculation to be someone who wouldn't have moved the needle if you'd announced it.

why did the Young Bucks have to buy a ticket? They still work there. If they're just ticket-buying fans, why were they allowed to do a run-in and attack Jurassic Express, when every other week run-ins and brawls between wrestlers on the roster get broken up by an army of security?

Though I have seen most of the original cast movies, I can count the number of episodes of all Star Trek series combined on one hand.

I've never watched Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Peaky Blinders, Game Of Thrones, or The West Wing. Never watched Seinfeld. Barely seen any Disney animated movies.
