Wow I'm glad I saw a random YouTube video that I can just opt in for windows 10 security updates for free for another full year (anyone in the UK and EU can do this btw, it's in your settings). I was about to actually install Linux in desperation! 🤣

like, a console that came out when i'm in college is still supported and getting new releases. the ps5 feels like the equivalent of a New Nintendo 3DS (ps5 pro is a new nintendo 3ds XL change my mind) to the ps4's 3ds. most of the switch 2's selling point is it just does switch 1 games better

with tech how it is, it feels like we're pretty close to the end of console generations as a concept. with nintendo seemingly coming up with a new hardware plan every decade, xbox nearly dead, and playstations getting longer and longer tails, at this point console upgrades feel far more arbitrary
