The State of Minnesota is a separate sovereign, entitled to enforce its own laws. Feds are certainly entitled to conduct a parallel investigation, but not to freeze out state investigators.

Saying the officer who committed murder is a murderer is dangerous, but it's OK to claim that his victim was a domestic terrorist who literally ran him over.

Thousands of people in Minneapolis and across the U.S. have been mourning Renee Good in the days since an ICE agent shot and killed her. She was a poet who had only recently moved to the city with her wife and 6-year-old son.
