I used the Google Maps API to display cons near the user on the home page. In the last year, it was getting hit so often that I was past the free API usage and had to start paying hundreds per month.

I took it off the home page and have been blocking scraping. Going to look at Google alternatives.

Ouch! That’s a terribly high rate increase! Are they actively trying to drive away customers?
