art is how we communicate complex ideas and emotions with each other. without artistic literacy (both in craft and interpretation), difficult concepts can't be conveyed. and it's easy to control people if you control their means of expression

artists hold immeasurable storytelling power. well-educated artists are a genuine threat to the establishment, and that's why so much time and money is spent on dissuading people from pursuing a life among the arts

And why they are the first victims of AI - artists, writers, creators, thinkers.

Authorities identified suspect as Claudio Manuel Neves-Valente, 48 (sp.), a fmr Brown U student and Portuguese national who's a legal permanent resident of the U.S. and lives in Miami. Police are still investigating a possible connection to murder of MIT professor Nuno Loureiro, also from Portugal.
