Re-bleating this thoughtful and intelligent analysis of the new guidelines. My take, (apologies to those I’m cribbing from): “eat good stuff, not too much” In practice, I’ve got to avoid going to Trader Joe’s when I’m hungry
I just read all 90 pages of the 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines, and I will apologize for the length and wonkiness of my take on it.

This is pretty detailed, and you may not have the stomach or patience for it, but here goes.

A very long 🧵

You mean elected officials who were voted into office by the citizens of California? I wonder how Kristi is going to fare in a women’s prison someday.
Kristi Noem: "We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into the city."

Sen. Alex Padilla is then forcibly removed!

Three men sit in a cell in El Salvador.

The first asks the second why he has been imprisoned. He replies, "Because I criticized Elon Musk."

The first man responds, "But I am here for praising Musk!"

They ask the third man who has been sitting quietly in the back. He answers, "I AM Elon Musk".

This👇 Calling these attacks “budget cuts” is like cutting off your leg and saying you’re trying to lose weight.
Really wish people would stop talking about the problem with Science under Trump as “budget cuts”.

No. Budgets are set deliberatively by elected members of congress. Budgets haven’t been cut.

What’s happening are *purges* and *censorship*.

I just had a horrifying realization about Elon's grand plans here.

They're going to do a join on a several different data sets with different collection latencies, data quality practices, etc. They're going to act like all the data is perfect, the schema all match, there are no special cases...
