Checks and balances only work if the people holding them want to use them.

This would be so disrespectful to an artist! "Thanks for sharing your art, but actually I wish it was different." What an incredible amount of entitlement, conscious or not.

The process of learning and of creation brings me joy and I would be so much diminished as a person for allowing a machine to take that from me. If I just want to consume media then there's already a veritable smorgasbord of existing quality media for me to enjoy as well.

I love the designs that are just flipped from another design. Sometimes with the dish moved around.

That's awful! I hope you have as quick and painless a recovery as possible.

I was unsure what prompted this, although I agreed with everything you said. And then I scrolled further down my timeline. Oh boy.

I think certainly the storefronts need to be more transparent with why refuse to list items, and when they de-list them. The reactionary feeling from this all just smacks worse in the light of the increasing influence of payment processors and censoring media generally.

But this is engaging and keeping me focused and motivated at least, which with my flavours of neurospicy is the biggest challenge I have with long-term projects!

I still have a lot to learn, practice and develop when it comes to my pixel art and animation skills. Handling it this way is possibly harder to visualise as well. But I think it also offers me more flexibility in the end. It's also not like I chose the easiest option to make a game to begin with.

This makes some sense with animations in Godot as I can move the parts around independently, so I could shift a head left and right a pixel or two instead of having to make individual frames in a spritesheet for that. But also I have to make each individual part and each frame that it needs.

I feel like if there is, it would be some sort of indie queer Japanese manga. You get all kinds of interesting doujinshi I believe.

There's also a lady having a conversation on her phone. It's not too loud really, but it is carrying across the waiting lounge and I'm tired so it bothers me more than it normally would. But I don't know what our who she is waiting for, so I'll just try to be understanding and not let it bother me.

Some things you hear people say but you don't really properly *learn* until you have to experience it yourself. I knew staying in a hospital with family and waiting was exhausting and draining, but this was the first time I had to do it myself. And thank you for the well wishes!
