Having folks enjoy board games is our glorious purpose. He/Him in the Mid-western United States.
Pro: FLGS, small publishers, great boardgames.
Con: shelving vertically, gatekeeping.
Honestly even with a new system. Playing 500 hours is still not a terrible deal.

$5k/500 hours = $10/hr.

Interesting! I imagine that is near impossible to calculate with all the Kickstarter games now a days. Or it'd jack up the cost a ton.

Wonder how the insurance company would handle it for a loss (fire). This KS game was $399 when I got it but I can only get a copy second-hand now for $800.

That makes sense. It's such a weird thing that people feel the need to have to explain a cost analysis for boardgames. I haven't seen that as much in other hobbies but I suppose many other hobbies (such as sports) are not as visible in a house.

It's tough to find a good group that likes the games you like. You can do it!

Should the UNDO TURN button be available when it's the other player's turn?

Ha. A bit. Party games aren't really my thing but I do enjoy Codenames on occasion.

Both deal in hardware. Purses have hardware on them and Ethernet cables and USB are considered tech hardware.

This was going to be my suggestion for you. Using synonyms and then providing an example if possible.

Cool tips and thoughts!

This is the fastest I have ever gone from idea to working boardgame prototype. Gunna do some solo playthroughs over the next week or so here.

This is not the way.

I strongly agree. When there are two players remaining (or to start) I think it makes sense to have a concession rule built in as part of the process. I remember my older brother making me and him finish a game of Monopoly even though I tried to concede multiple times. Miserable.

Hey man, if you have the room, there's nothing wrong with embracing your hobby.

At 106 I've been thinking about what makes sense for me. I have plenty of room but unfortunately only play once a week for 3 hours with my group so not everything gets played every year...about 50-55%.

Work your way down to 100 and see how that feels, then you can try 90.

Sounds tough. Best of luck. I'm at 106 but I haven't culled yet. I have maybe 10 that I could part with that I'm meh on. Probably donate them to my local library or a school.

Best way to play. The wickedness mini expansion really evens the game out with folks actually wanting to roll 1s and 2s.

Good awareness for sure. Got to have some place for them to go. How many games do you have?

This seems like nonsense and I will not be encouraging you in any way.

My first meetup I played Libertalia. Great for newer folks who maybe have a few games at home already.
