Crane is erroneous, just noticed it on the chart. One of a few species that often come up as false positives. Hawfinch, and Spotted Flycatcher come up as well, and are particularly annoying as they are possible, but not when having to check 20 calls a day.

There are many pairs breeding in the Keyhaven / Lymington area, but none (or very few) there at the moment. Wonder if it is as simple as them wintering in Dorset?

There was one further around the coast from where I was, but I didn't walk that far. It was playing hard to get by the sound of it from other Birders on the day.

It's a pity Bajcetic hasn't made more of a comeback. He could theoretically cover a couple of positions

Hi Steve, that was my Daughter and I that you pointed the Gulls out to. Thanks. (I found my lens hood. We were laughing because you were finding Caspian Gulls, but must have walked right past it the middle of the path. Proves you were concentrating on the birds!)

I should add: individually installing the bat monitor, or the birdnet monitor was fairly straightforward. Having both running simultaneously, bearing in mind they fork from the same software seemed problematic. I very nearly caved and bought a 2nd pi! But happy I persevered

EDIT: The Noctule is either permanently circling the house (unlikely) or some annoying interference in the area.

I was at that game, in the Newcastle end. Terrified. Nicol scored a 4th goal that was disallowed, I think for some one else being offside!

The precision brought back memories of the Lallana winner against Norwich, when he bounced it over the entire Norwich defence. Anything different and it wouldn't have been a goal. Chiesa does get a lot of on target quality shots away whenever he comes on.

That's a very good point

Barnes, Beardsley and Houghton was the only other period I can remember when we really went to town with a number of top quality signings. Think Spackman, Aldridge, and McMahon were bought at the similar time, but no transfer window back then.

They don't realise that it's very easy for us to block the entire site and get our news elsewhere, after being fooled a couple of times

A month ago I was thinking exactly this, try and keep the team together. But after the horrible events, I think more new faces who aren't as affected will help. Hope that doesn't come across cold or insensitive

Low risk doesn't help if we need a left back, and he doesn't step up. Fortunately he more than stepped up.
