Talking of violence, sexual assault etc etc.

I bet there's more accusations and convictions in these photos than at least a few weeks worth of small boats.

Lords Heseltine & Kinnock seem more alive to these self-evident truths than most members of the Commons. Similarly, I find thinkers with direct lived experience of far right dictatorship, Greeks of a certain age for example, crystal clear about what’s happening now.

“You described Reform and other parties across Europe today as among the 'right wing equivalents of the fascists in the 1930s'. Why?”

“Because that’s what they are”

...then would many be so hyper focused on immigrants.

What made the fascists popular in the 30's? Was it by any chance othering and blaming certain groups for life's ills, fear mongering etc.

Heseltine is right, they've always been like this. We're just under pressure to not point it out.
peterohanrahah.bsky.social
Victoria states here Reform would claim they're just doing what people want. Some might, but most of that is after years of Pharage and co pushing fear mongering, division etc etc, to radicalise people into blaming immigrants for most of our woes.

If this narrative hadn't been pushed so much...

This has certainly been the case for a few games now. #nffc

Yeh, probably could do something better. But in this case she seems to be ticking off a few proposals that would help the most wealthy, keep more of that wealth.
peterohanrahah.bsky.social
Kemi BadEnough could really be up their on lack of self awareness. Truss dominates that though.

All while abolishing stamp duty!
peterohanrahah.bsky.social
Abolishing stamp duty will save the most wealthy the largest sums of money. It sounds like Truss mark 2.

But as they are not in power, and are a total busted flush; BadEnouch may as well promise a free gifted Unicorn on completion. For all the worth this has.

She'll be gone as leader soon enough.

Here we go.

He's about as subtle as a brick chucked through a window with a note tied to it, saying "Robert Jenrick leadership contender" written using a giant marker pen.

Bill Jenrick (father) LinkedIn:

"I served a 5 year apprenticeship at AEI Manchester and qualified as a Management accountant. Then I worked as an accountant...."

Robert Jenrick (son) : "...gas fitters like my dad"

I know plenty of politicians 'working classify' their backgrounds, but this from Jenrick is taking the piss.

His father's linked in is here: uk.linkedin.com/in/bill-jenr...

He was a managing accountant who ended up as the Managing Director of Cannon Industries

In our old house there was a pear tree when we moved in, as much as we tried the pear Goldilocks window is just too short.

We gave up, then it was just depositing mushy pears on our lawn. So eventually had it cut down

There’s got to be a leadership push in the near future, he’s made provocative and awful comments in quick succession, and posted a picture of him pretending to put a flag on a lamppost.

To me, it's comments that a politician even a couple of years ago wouldn't have dared voice. I don't know how it can be explained in nature, bar out and out racism
