I'm still vaguely plugged into the goings on within the Destiny community and damn. Feels like everybody's in mourning just now as the game withers. Genuinely sad and depressing. Not sure I can think of another game that's had more vertiginous highs and crushing lows than Destiny.

Thinking out loud here, but planning the following changes:
- Drop DEF as a stat
- Make defending an opposed action
- Completely gut the current combat rules and replace with Troika-esque opposed rolls
- Armour soaks damage instead of contributing to def score
- Overshields 'pop' on hit and gate dmg
