I don't know if mac users face this too, but that feeling when you aren't sure if it's Windows being weird (itself) or just your mouse running low on batteries.
Then you don't even bother checking for a few days because it's probably Windows, unreasonably.

I ever tell you about General Purpose Organisms? I don't think I have... I'm a sci-fi writer at heart and I think in sci-fi terms. And while I grew up talking about "sentient" aliens, and later spoke of "sapient" aliens, the concept I now hold to is the General Purpose Organism.

Everything takes me a thousand years because I get curious. Working on a palette for the Phasian stuff brand. The second pic is sourced from colors from the haishoku jiten (prv.ec/sfSYNrA). You know, just in case you were wondering why I never get anything done. Sometimes I just want to try stuff.

Working on more viz-dev in Blender - I tried so many things to get city backgrounds working. Right now I'm working with geometry nodes against what I'm calling a 'matte painting' after a lot of different trials. The buildings are a kit I intend to replace but finally something is working haha ︵ ┻━┻

Working on learning some new techniques in Blender from the great @afoxinspace.bsky.social . He's got a way of working with it that makes the grease pencil work a lot more smoothly workflow-wise. I never got into it before but I'm looking forward to practice in the coming weeks between commissions.

A great read is this blog takes in 'queries' - basically the elevator pitch you email to publishers - and rips them to shreds. But it's better than just seeing what a publisher needs to see to actually open your manuscript - Deep cuts, deeper insight? 😅
