His heart twinged at the sight, and Wei Ying's fingers landed softly on the edge of the scars, tracing down the mark until it vanished beneath Lan Zhan's robe. It was not often Wei Ying saw Lan Zhan's /back/ unclothed. It was not that he forgot about the scars, but he hasn't had them so plainly laid out before him since he first saw them.

Wei Ying wishes he could perform empathy on himself. It would be nice to be able to look back and understand what life choices had led to this moment. He knows he's made a lot of stupid, reckless decisions, but it's hard to pinpoint what landed him here, in Caiyi town, holding his favourite junior
