Somewhere, in the Deep reaches of space, an assembly has gathered on a space station. During a heated discussion on the design and capabilities of mecha, Isamu Kurogane (Lance) stands tall and dares to speak the truth. "Every Gundam is worse than Voltron because his hands are lion mouths!!!" he declares without shame. His bravado has impressed the Red Comet, Char Aznable, while confusing and insulting Amuro Ray. The delaration is heard to mixed reactions by many other mecha pilots (not by Shinji Ikari, he is doing his best to ignore him).

Yes, this is a structural pov not a thematic one, but it's the only semi-reliable guideline I've found for what works *only* in one, not the other. everything follows from that, ime.

the basic rule I use for ttrpgs vs larps is, in TTRPGs you describe, in LARPs you do. "I'm so pissed I punch him in the face" in a TTRPG, in a LARP means you make your body angrily punch another body in the face. A stage fight is still *acted out*.

yeah this is also why I gave up on intercon. the beautiful lil freeform weird games are such a minority in comparison to litform secrets and powers games that take up all the time slots cuz they last like 6+ hrs while the freeform ones are like 2, 3hrs max

i'm gonna be real. i totally get and support why poc have created the phrases "Black bodies" and "brown bodies" (discrimination, dehumanization, and worse based on what we look like as opposed to who we are, etc)

but when i see white people using the phrases, it feels weird. i dunno.

Phalloplasty (unlike transmasc top surgery) is regularly jeered at by transphobes as "mutilating". The casting of men as evil oppressors has made many closeted trans men afraid to transition. I just don't understand how you can say trans women have any systemic power to cause these issues??

Assaults and murders of transmasc people are under-reported or reported as violence against cis women. That's the media's fault! TERFs are out here crying that they "lost a lesbian" every time a straight trans man comes out of the closet. That's TERFs' fault! Why pin this on fellow trans folks??

at the risk of fucking up what I say here as neither a trans man nor trans woman......why can we not acknowledge that the various unique problems that trans men/transmasc people face are because of institutional transphobia and not trans women's fault like, at all?
