When you are using the "AI" framing, does the way you talk about "AI" carry water for the Sam Altmans of the world? That is, are you helping to paint a picture of their tech as inevitable, all powerful, and/or anything other than commercial products?

This is depressing and infuriating at the same time. How can people who created this product not be in jail, and how can their companies remain in business? I feel like *I’m* crazy.

If I learnt anything from the 2008 financial crisis it is that no harm can come from repackaging loans in to collatoralised instruments that can be sold in tranches which obfuscate the risk to institutional investors

Can’t imagine why people don’t like the technology that they’ve been telling us for years is designed to take our jobs and replace normal human interactions and sexual relationships

By “inconsistent claims” surely they mean “harmless little lies” right?
