Das mit den "harten Lobbyinteressen" würd ich in Frage stellen. Glaubt jemand wirklich, dass das einen Einfluss aufs Konsumverhalten hat? Es ist eigentlich nur blanker Kulturkrieg um des Kulturkriegs willen. Und letztlich damit sich eine kleine Schicht von verunsicherten Privilegierten besser fühlt.

Aus Campaigningsicht aber wirklich ein irrer Erfolg:

Der Gegenseite jahrelang unterstellen, „Sprachpolizei“ zu sein und dann reihenweise Sprachverbote durchsetzen.

Auch ein Lehrstück darin, wie man harte Lobbyinteressen identitätspolitisch auflädt und so erfolgreich macht.

On May 21, exactly two weeks after Taher's little boy died, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio sat before Congress and declared: "No one has died" because of his government's decision to gut its foreign aid program. Rubio also insisted: "No children are dying on my watch."
That, Taher says, "is a lie."
