FWIW, it's perhaps worth noting that when Benjamin Franklin visited France between 1776 and 1778 to ask for military support for the then-new-formed United States of America, he wore a coonskin cap. "Proper" French court attire at this time was a powdered wig.

Every word of this is exactly what is required of us at this moment in history as its being written.
We must “understand the violations, confront the desecrations, hold firm to our values and principles, and refuse to be broken by a cruel regime comprised of obedient oligarchs and miscreants driven by hostility & vengeance. This is a time for moral clarity.”

Here's what the entire federal workforce actually looks like. It's mostly doctors, nurses and healthcare workers in VA hospitals, the military, and then everything else.

No matter how you’ve chosen to justify your allegiance to him, ultimately you made your decision, and quite frankly, I have lost the respect for and the affinity I had with you. There is a divide between us now that will never be completely removed.

If they ever invent time travel, I think we need to pass a law requiring everyone to spend one full year in an era before vaccines and environmental regulations. You survive that year, you get to come back to the present, and you'll never vote against public health measures ever again.

Something to keep in mind about these personnel cuts in the federal workforce: if a production process requires 10 people to complete, and you fire 5 of them, you don't reduce output by 50%—you reduce it to 0...because it takes ten people.

All out crippling of the government is the goal.
It's happening...
"According to an NNSA employee, roughly 300 of the agency's 1,800 staff are expected to be fired after the agency was denied a national security exemption."

Imagine a teenage girl hurting your feelings so bad you destroy the American government.

Note: you yourself are a grown man in this scenario.

whenever you start to feel glum or defeated by the news of the day, remember that we are up against some of the stupidest people in the world

yes, take them seriously and fight with the urgency the moment calls for, but also don't give them more credit than they deserve
