I didn't know that! I'd love to visit their plant someday.

And I'm sending all the good vibes your way! My only advice is that someday it ends and then you're free. Also take as much vacation as you can (afford) after depositing

I grew up in Chicagoland and now I live in New Mexico, basically zero coastal influence in either place. Seems like it might be regionally specific?
But TIL!

Wonder if it's more prevalent in all coastal regions or just some, like the NE?

Urenco approved to enrich uranium up to 10% in "all existing and future cascades".

This is HALEU, but only the lower end of HALEU enrichments. Sometimes this enrichment level, 5-10%, is referred to as LEU+

Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton's crew famously survived after the Endurance became stuck in ice in 1915. A researcher says the ship was ill-equipped for the voyage and Shackleton was aware.
