The people now in charge of the Office of Personnel Management apparently don’t know how to scrub PDF metadata, and have exposed the original authors of the guidance they’re publishing. Two, Noah Peters and James Sherk, have links to the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025.

If inflation comes up at the dinner table, don’t forget to draw attention to a deeper structural driver of high prices: corporate power.

Much of the food industry is dominated by a few corporate giants with the power to keep prices high because they face little competition.

I have spent a lot of time reporting on, and writing about, fossil fuel sponsorship. It's very rare you get a working demonstration of why this matters. This double page spread in the Herald Sun was just sent to me with calls for more gas extraction -- sponsored by the gas industry.

It is obvious that these big news networks are concerned with defending capital, not labor. It's time to ditch corporate-owned media and enrich worker-owned media, where labor subjugates capital, not the other way around.

What is "tax payer money"? It is the money collected because of laws set by the parliament (not the government) for the benefit of the public. It's not owned by tax payers, it is owned by the public, managed by the gov, under the oversight of the parliament elected by the citizens.

I am pretty sure I know how they are going to react, a lot of FBI are going to retire or be forced due to cost cuts by DOGE and private security would seem like an attractive alternative and corps will pay for it. That cost will be passed on to the consumer.

Guard against whom? Do they think people 'WANT' to be sick and take medicines, get probed/prodded/spindled/mutilated? If care is needed it isn't unnecessary. What he is really saying is 'we guard against lower share price'.

This is about cutting government effectiveness, not increasing efficiency. These two cosplaying unelected plutocrats want to do away with the rules that prevent them from stealing even more from millions of Americans.

Any time the goal is to provide universal service, the private sector cannot do the job because the private sector will always determine that someone is too expensive to serve.

The most expensive to serve with infrastructure are those living in rural or remote areas.
