Over 30 people have commented on my Dad's wall wishing him a happy birthday. Most of the wishes don't acknowledge he's dead like... do they not know? Or do they know, and this is some sort of gen X/Boomer FB norm that I don't understand? Something I didn't expect to be bothered by today.

hate every part of this. hate that tiktok has (further) ruined attention spans. hate that it's literally an addicting app. hate that it has financial and political value (to users). hate that it's a political spectacle. hate this comes on the doom eve of inauguration. hate all of this!!!

love seeing people post their Spotify wrapped stats but you couldn't pay me to admit my top artists or songs this year. 2024 was pure Grief and Trauma and it's no one's business but my own who helped me cope!!!
