It is 2026 I am 100% trackball-pilled. They've replaced all of my mice (which is technically true because I only used one mouse) and tbh I don't think I'm going back any time soon. At least not full-time. Gotta keep a regular one around to flirt with, you know? ABF (Always Be Flirtin')

Our thorough look at HOLLOW KNIGHT is out now! Sprawling lore, pristine mechanics, music both effervescent and feral...and a little guy who's cute as a button. No burying the lede here: this game is phenomenal.

Hope you love the show today. Ft. co-host @nostalgiumpod.bsky.social . Links below!⬇️

In an effort to write more on the show I put up a Patreon poll (for paid + free members!) to see what folks want to hear about. The poll winner is one that I don't hear a lot of "serious" discussion around; I've been wanting to try my hand at doing exactly that.

Can't wait to revisit Stellar Blade!

For me this would just be more self promotion, so instead please enjoy the avatars I use on almost every other social media internet website: Bud Dink from hit television show Doug, and Garfield from hit comic strip Garfield

It's time to look back on 2025 - it's the annual Games "In" The Year! Join me as I talk about ten games that I played during 2025 — released that year or not — and why they meant so much to me. It's part analysis, part personal essay, 100% a good listen. THANK YOU for a great year!

Gotta stave off the Monday Blues somehow, so let's talk vidya games. What are all you fine folks playing or hoping to play this week?

For me, I've got 3D Dot Game Heroes and Omori on the docket. And, of course, don'tCHA forget about Chrono Cross.

Also this game and its so-bad-it's-good voice acting/dialogue gave us this fantastic reaction image:

"being hit on by clown girls" is actually at the top of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, but academia does not want you to know this.

This passage from one of the Best to Ever Do It came up in the Discord yesterday. We should all take Eliot's advice. Myself especially. (from God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater)

The NIER AUTOMATA analysis concludes! One of the game's main themes — that of a Will to live, a meaning to life to stave off what has been variously called "The Absurd," "Nihilism," etc — is on full display as we see many characters grapple with it. Hope you love the show today—links below!⬇️

The NIER AUTOMATA analysis continues! Existence precedes essence. Sartre's philosophy is further explored throughout — a rallying cry for some, an aching lie for others. We all need a God worth dying for. This episode covers through both endings A and B. Hope you love the show today. Links below!⬇️
