Someone is going to hear about this when it releases right after they bought a CIB copy and will have to have a serious Come To Jesus moment with themselves

Thinking of you both.

I'm not familiar so I took a look at their website — looks cool! A standing desk would be absolutely fantastic. And I'm with you on the limited space. Even going wireless for as many peripherals as possible the space always seems to just vanish off of your desk.

Beautiful! I've heard there was some drama about their most recently released one. Apparently they stopped production almost immediately because of some severe tracking issues?

(btw — Merriam-Webster has a [now mostly defunct] podcast called "Word Matters" and it has low-key been a favorite of mine since ~2020)

Definitely. Symphonies or novels or games that have that sort of "revisit" value are my favorites.

Truly...onions.......

(tbh I did not expect this to win. It narrowly beat out Trails, Pentiment, and *Disco Elysium*...what??? lol)

It's a tough cycle. Something I said back when we recorded episodes on it is that I brought some of "my own stuff" to that angle of the story. It made it tough to feel sympathy for her mom and easy to do so for her. It's tricky not to bring "your own stuff" in (not a bad thing, though imo imo)

Good reminder that I also need to get to Talos 2. I loved the first one.

(Also also: 1000xRESIST and Kentucky Route Zero were tied for my favorite games I played in 2024. Two very "Rick" games if you ask me)

For newer folks (hi!), we did a 2-part analysis back in '24. It was actually *the* game that helped me realize a more analysis-based style of show was what I enjoyed best. At the time I didn't know what I wanted to do with the show. Sometimes I still don't, haha. We're all works in progress, I guess
