The most obnoxious comment about AI I see on here is someone trying to argue every new invention was once hated and pushed back on until it was adopted by society. Humans haven’t been around that long - the age of industrialization is 0.0001 of a blink of an eye in the history of our existence.

New character!
Eparie. He's so fun to write.
New character! Eparie is your main point of contact with the Salvager's Cache. He's a bright, charismatic, individual with feline and aquatic features, making him well suited to work on Soubos. He's very intelligent but thinks he knows and understands a bit more about the world than he actually does. He assumes everyone is out for themselves and readily expects to be lied to, hurt, and double crossed. He's very, very slow to trust. That said, he, in general, is reasonable and keeps his word. Above all else, he's effective and professional. He's a master at memorizing people's wants and needs to create personal gain for himself, and sometimes, mutual gain for both parties. Due to this, he's a firm believer in confidentially and discretion. He's there to do his job, do it well, keep his people safe, and get paid. He is ruthless enough to hurt people in order to do that, but he prefers not to as he considers that a failure on his part. He'd much rather turn on the charm and have both parties walk away a little bit more wealthy - or at the very least, him. He absolutely thinks you're lying to him and is excited to figure out your angle. 👌Eparie will also be taking your questions and giving answers or advice at this time. I draw on the train a lot and ngl I sometimes cringe in wonder: Do other passengers assume what I'm doing here in Procreate is random AI stuff? Because I bet most can't even tell the processes apart.

I spotted this on Mastodon and I find it horrible, not least for the speed with which this has happened.
A post on Mastodon by small cypress (@small_cypress@indieweb.social): As an art teacher I was worried AI would come up as an issue of "why should I learn how to draw when I can use AI instead." But the real issue is that my middle schoolers CONSTANTLY believe all art I show them is AI. Digital art. Photography. Oil paintings from the Western canon. "A human couldn't do that" Being convinced that humans can't make great art is kind of terrifying

I’m not afraid of Ai since it looks like cheap slop anyway. I’m more annoyed that it’s everywhere and it looks terrible. Hire real people to make your ads they’ll look 1000% better.
