In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

This is an exceptional analysis piece by @gideonrachman.bsky.social on the implications of the Trump Administration's stance towards Europe for Europe

I want to say it's highly provocative, but I fear it's the basecase. A rupture and realignment, unfolding before us

I’m in Munich and people keep asking me to decode Vance’s speech. OK: In Vance English “free speech” means “Let Musk run your elections” and “democracy” means “let Russia run your elections.” Now move on. 2025 is about what Europeans do, not what Americans say.

““Regulatory pressure is more of an experience for many people,” he said. “The mistake the EU makes is that you cannot reduce an experience by 25 per cent.””
