Man that sweet spot between properly caffeinated and literally vibrating with impending catastrophe seems like it gets a little smaller every day

I know everything feels grim right now but let's be realistic. These people are idiots. They're going to tank their economy. They're going to fuck-up every deal they sign. They're going to leave America looking shattered and deranged. And all those who supported them will look as idiotic as they are

It’s 100 days since Kemi Badenoch became UK Conservative leader. In polling today she slipped into fourth place on who would make best Prime Minister, behind Davey, Farage and Starmer.

And the majority of people see her as dislikeable and untrustworthy.

Another leadership success story.

Tenant farmer Jack agrees with @dalevince.com - supermarkets must play fairer with UK farmers & he says they "could be required to pay a percentage of their profits, equivalent to the percentage of their non-UK & ultra processed food sales, to a ring-fenced investment fund benefiting farmers."

A home battery allows you to shift your electricity import into the cheap night rate (in our case 7p/kWh), and then use that power during the day when importing from the grid would be 4 times higher.

My DF64 gen 2 grinder is amazing. I love it but I made a modification for slow feeding beans using a Diet Coke can and it ended up not looking too shoddy and works well.

Slow feeding coffee beans into the grinder is a revelation.

Everything has to change now. Initially my 18g basket can't hold 18g. The shot time for a 40g shot is about 6 seconds rather than around 30. No crema.

The bitterness has gone. Much finer grinding and more experimentation needed.

Getting increasingly irritated by publications without BlueSky as a sharing option, especially if X is there. I'm trying to promote your article on a site that actually allows people to see it. Help me help you man.

Nothing I say gets any traction on Bluesky and that's completely fine by me because I have nothing interesting to say.

I'm looking at Spurs supporters celebrating a 1-0 first leg win against Liverpool and wondering how they've not had all hope beaten out of them yet.

Heating my house to 21°C and running everything else all Wednesday has cost £7.80.

Tuesday was £3 for the whole day. Sun makes such a difference.

I swear that back in the late 90s we didn't get black cornflakes, discoloured peas or brown baked beans.

What happened to quality control? Why did we allow things to go backwards*

10am.

20 kWh house battery down to 30% already. No sun to supplement solar.

I wish I could use the car battery for a few hours to keep my air source heat pump powered at cheap rate for a bit longer.
