🟢 Am 26.06.2025 ereignete sich ein starker #Tornado in #Kreuzbruch, #Brandenburg. In Waldgebieten zwischen #Klosterfelde und #Zerpenschleuse kam es zu erheblichen Schäden entlang einer über 5 Km langen und bis zu über 300 m breiten Schneise.

🟢 Am 28.05.2025 zog ein #Tornado durch Waldgebiete zwischen #Hammerbrücke und #Klingenthal im #Erzgebirge (#Sachsen). Entlang der über sechs Kilometer langen Schneise wurden teils flächig Bäume entwurzelt oder abgeknickt.

🟢 Am 07.07.2025 zog ein #Tornado (IF1) durch #Berga bei #Roßla in Sachsen-Anhalt. Entlang der einen Kilometer langen Schneise wurden mehrere Dächer teilweise abgedeckt. Dachbleche flogen bis zu mindestens 120 Meter weit.

🟢 Am 04.06.2025 zog ein starker #Tornado durch #Donaustetten (#BW) südlich von #Ulm. Dabei kam es zu teils signifikanten Schäden. Die Schneise ist mindestens 15.5 Kilometer lang und reicht bis in den Landkreis Neu-Ulm in #Bayern.

🟢 Am 28.05.2025 zog ein #Tornado durch Hessisch Lichtenau. Entlang der mindestens 1.4 Kilometer langen Schneise, die quer durch den Ort verläuft, wurden Dächer teilweise abgedeckt, Bäume entwurzelt/abgeknickt und ein Wohnwagen zerstört.

🟢 Am 07.06.2025 zog ein #Tornado über zwei Landstraßen bei #Glewitz (#MV). An der L26 wurden insgesamt 17 Bäume beschädigt oder entwurzelt. Zwei Videos zeigen eine deutliche Trichterwolke, unterhalb derer die Schäden entstanden sind.

A radar loop of the extremely long-lived supercell that produced the deadly tornado in southeast Kentucky yesterday: streamable.com/deiqrd. It is very interesting how it switched from producing only a few short-lived tornadoes for most of its life, to producing this long-lived one towards the end.

SPC’s severe weather database is now QC’ed and updated for all of 2024. It was quite the year, coming in 2nd place for number of confirmed tornadoes since 1950, trailing the prolific 2004 season and overtaking the historic 2011 season. 2024 did see the most Sig Wind (65+ kt) reports since 1955.

OTD 2 years ago, May 12, 2023, Juston Drake and I documented several twisters over Eastern Nebraska during a significant coldcore tornado outbreak. This one near Spalding was a chonk over the Sandhills.
