"Officials did not make clear if the absences were connected to the ongoing immigration operation in the city."

I mean, it could be pure coincidence that 15% of the students failed to show up on the first day of school after two days of intensive ICE incursions in the city.
Nearly 21,000 Charlotte-Mecklenburg students absent from school on Monday, officials say
Officials did not make it clear if the absences were connected to the on-going immigration operation in the city.

Google: "You got it! Here are lots of results."

Every recipe I open in the results: "... and a meaty ham bone."

The idea of the internet was to be resilient - where it could continue operating if it lost a few nodes.

Then money got involved, and now a huge percent of it depends on services like Cloudflare or AWS.

The internet should not fall on the whims of somebody who decides to push an ill-advised patch.

I dislike all three of our big com companies up here, but at risk of sounding like "I got kicked in the groin with steel toes, but I've heard the other guys stab you..."

I've had to call Bell 2-3 times for various issues. The wait times were reasonable, and the outcomes were positive.

Here's a formula to try: replace all of the bat shit crazy people in your federal government with sane ones in the next election. Wait for another election so that we know that you won't just vote the crazies right back in again like last time.

Then we might start coming back. Maybe.

I nabbed these when we were shopping yesterday. I love them on toast, topped with cheese and a fried egg. =9

They were one of the two unplanned purchases we made.

The main purpose of our trip was to buy some beef short ribs for tonight. Instead, we came home with a ham big enough to feed four.

Nobody is accusing him of not being Canadian. He's just a lousy one.

Maybe we're being unfair to him, though. I mean, what loyal Canadian _hasn't_ donned MAGA gear and openly supported the president of a hostile country who openly threatens the existence of your birth country?

In this case, only an AI can actually see the picture to unscramble. Us poor humans are left going, "But ... there's no picture!"
