We fired the art department and replaced them with an orb. It hovers about four feet off the ground and follows us around the office. Sometimes it feels like it's waiting for something. Sometimes it follows you home. Jim says it told him to dig into the dirt. It will save the company twelve dollars.

I’m very frustrated. After promising me repeatedly last year that he would happily remove my abusive ex as a tenant from my lease without any penalty to me, my landlord has instead opted to go behind my back and ask her to file to end my lease without communicating to me that he intended to do so.

Okay, I’m trying to add some new daily habits into my life, and I’m going to try to make up a few fun daily things too. Hoping that’ll help me feel less overwhelmed by the unfun ones. 😅

I have to admit, I enjoyed Hallowe’en more when I had someone to hang with while giving out candy. It’s a bit lonely doing it alone.

One of my favourite things about Halloween is that for a couple weeks every year, people assume I’m dressed this way for a reason other than “it’s how I dress”. :P

I went to the Oddities & Curiosities show at the Forum, and I almost cried twice over missing my ex—once when I saw a dragon I would’ve bought for her and once when I saw an ammonite and remembered watching Utena with her.

Been taking myself out to Halloween burlesque shows this month.
It’s a little lonely always going solo, but better than never doing anything just ‘cause I’d have to go alone.
The shows are fun! And remind me that I want to learn how to do burlesque. Gotta find out if there are classes for that.
