I missed the name of this speaker. They are talking about car-centric infrastructure. This past summer they became interested in cycling infrastructure. The local cyclist community welcomed them in with open arms. They recall fondly a Halloween cycling event.

I wish there was even a quarter as much political and public scrutiny over costs from maintaining and resurfacing ludicrously wide roads, often twice the width or more required.
I mean do these sticks and concrete look prohibitively expensive?

Tweedie struck and killed a ten year old out for a bike ride in 2019. He was finally convicted in 2024, after originally being acquitted.
