The list of things council is considering cutting in order to keep taxes “flat” is insane. (From Sam Austin’s website). Call your councillor and tell them you won’t support them if they support these cuts.

It's a brutal society that doesn't provide comfortable homes and care for elderly men with mental challenges.
In a nearly 500 word rant, President Trump goes after Bill Maher.

1. The dinner he references included Kid Rock and Dana White.

2. He ends it with “thank you for your attention to this minor matter.”

Who knows, you might get to see a pair of great tits bouncing around right outside your house [*] 🐦

In incredible news, the European Parliament has voted overwhelmingly for "The Full Recognition Of Trans Women As Women."

Even the center-right European People's Party voted for the declaration.

It will form a foundation for their position at the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

Completely agree. My time on Ottawa City Council went like this:

Most of Ottawa Council: "That's Europe. Won't work here. Let's keep doing it like before."

If we had 150 people in town killed or seriously injured every year by any means other than cars, there would be almost unlimited resources put into solving the problem.
Laura White “It’s roughly 150 people in fatal or serious injury collisions in HRM in 2024. How does that compare to all the resources we’re putting into other types of violence?”

I wanted an answer to this one!

You may laugh, but the Macbeths are a much better role model for a marriage than Romeo and Juliet. They discuss their problems (killing the king of Scotland), share their hobbies (killing the king of Scotland), and resolve their conflicts (by killing the king of Scotland).

On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

this is comically evil. brazenly anti-social. just absolute black-pilled nihilism. we will not have a republic, we will not be free, until we regulate these companies to the point where — at a bare minimum — they're too afraid to put stuff like this down on paper.

If only there was an intellectual discipline that could explain why the white men who run universities are so eager to shut down gender studies.
Eliminating gender studies courses helps to ensure that universities and other institutions will continue to protect men who benefit from the abuse of women and girls, either directly or through their connections to those who exploit girls and women for profit.
