i understand that these corporations are beloved by many, but as soon as you start defending their use of AI, even if it's "a little bit", i need you to understand that you are being used as a corporate tool to normalize AI. reject it with all your might. corporations arent your friend.

Part of the issue is the very term AI has been widened out broadly and infinitely so now we're playing this language crapshoot, during which people can either be mistaken, use the wrong term, not fully understand the term they're using, or just lie. It's a fucking mess.
ngl, outside of the clip that got popularised by Gene Park, the next paragraph sounds like it's a more algorithmic asset placement tool (referencing trees, paths etc) than genAI

I think just acting in good faith is the best you can do. If you know a game has AI, avoid it. If it has AI but you didn't know until later, share your feelings on it later and don't beat yourself up for it slipping past your radar.

Falling in love with this anime convention fan animation made in 1992. Dude literally made this in his garage. I wish they still did this for opening ceremonies, but I guess there's too many conventions (we should try to bring this back!)

No, I will not "Subscribe" to Crunchyroll to watch Minky Momo. I will have a Super Tanker import the VHS tapes from Japan over a 2 month waiting period. After my anime makes it's transcontinental voyage, I will MANUALLY subtitle the episodes myself with a Commodore AMIGA & a VCR.
