In the budget discussions, Dems should refuse to fund ICE unless agents can’t wear masks, they must identify themselves and must read people their Miranda rights. Even with these conditions, ICE funding should be limited to border operations.

Stop further shootings.

Repost if you agree. #BlueCrew

Renee Nicole Good was 37. She was murdered by an ICE agent in the street in broad daylight. What really happened to her will not be forgotten, minimized, or ignored.

The American people electing Trump after he staged a coup attempt 5 years ago was a nail in the coffin of our democracy. You can rationalize it all you want - But inflation! But wokeness! - but ultimately it was a societal suicide attempt and probably the dumbest collective voting decision ever made

Maybe a little early for this, but seems obvious that @captmarkkelly.bsky.social has to be in the top tier of Dem Pres candidates in '28

Senile Felon kidnaps President of sovereign nation to seize the country's oil and deflect attention from his own cover-up of the Epstein Files.

Do I have this right?

The big conundrum when watching pro sports is "yeah, this team is bad, but these are athletes doing things physically that I couldn't do, even in my physical prime."

But we really have to measure athletes vs. other real life jobs. Like, "Am I as bad at teaching as my favorite team is at tackling?"

Re-upping this.
I'm sorry, but did no one among the people who've ever seen the Epstein Files ever do an Ellsberg and copy them?

Like, no one?

Greg Hinz @crainschicago.bsky.social says Chicago City Council introduced an alternative budget "in 1988, when [Mayor Harold] Washington was battling the Vrdolyak 29 City Council majority."

Washington captured the Council majority in 1986 & died in 1987.

Greg Hinz: Chicago's budget battle is now a test of mayoral power
Chicago rapidly is entering uncharted territory. Will this remain a city where one wants to live and work?

So, what did the WH expect Adm. Bradley to do instead--refuse an illegal order?
WH tries to throw Adm. Bradley under the boat. Won’t work.

“Oh, what a tangled web we weave
When first we practice to deceive.”
REPORTER: Does the administration deny that that second strike happened, or did it happen and the administration denies that Hegseth gave the order?

LEAVITT: The latter. Secretary Hegseth authorized Admiral Bradley to conduct these kinetic strikes. He worked well within his authority and the law.

There is no middle ground, no "coming together," with this kind of extremism.
I do not believe this to be a necessary conversation.
On “The Necessary Conversation” podcast, Chad’s Trump supporter parents tell him the military should follow Trump’s illegal orders and kill everyone in LA if Trump commanded it — even with him and his sister in the city😳

By "interesting," I assume you mean "this is a terrible idea and should die on the vine."
Interesting development.

Can we also make sure the initial primary states reflect the diversity of our party? In other words, not Iowa or New Hampshire!

I'm a political scientist, and yes, I know that VP candidates are not decisive in how people vote for Pres.

But given the choices we had for someone to be a heartbeat away from the Oval...there weren't 70,000 people in swing states who could've given us this guy?
Walz: "They are paying contractors to pay down the East Wing but they're not putting money into the food bank. So if there's a sense of frustration in America, it's very real ... when the White House press secretary said their top priority is the ballroom, we could not disagree more."

Hopefully the whole Bari Weiss thing and Ezra Klein thing starts waking people up to the fact that corporate media is mostly populated with mediocre people who have made millions and gained unbelievable influence because they threaten nothing and tell wealthy people exactly what they want to hear.
