A very self-indulgent drawing... also very lazy, no ref for anatomy, lighting, or drapery, so I know I'll look at this later and sigh. But whatever, I haven't done anything more than a sketch in ages and bad art is better than no art. Happy holidays from Fr. Hatchett lol

A solstice sunrise over Lake Winnipeg.

Looking out over a frozen snow covered lake about a half an hour into sunrise. The golden sun lights up the sky in a triangle just above the purple horizon before it disappears behind a bank of equally purple clouds. The snow gives everything kind of a marshmallow effect and tall grasses stand in the foreground to show where the land is.

I voice 14 different characters in THE ELEPHANT on HBO Max, this was one of the most unique, fascinating projects i've ever worked on, three different teams led by Pendleton Ward, Rebecca Sugar + Ian Jones-Quartey, and Patrick McHale all contributed segments without ever seeing the others (1/2)
