Pritzker and Johnson have stumbled on their response to Trump by not actually stopping ICE. They're trying to triangulate and seem "reasonable" to the average voter who just likes cops and the military. But this will not save them if Trump decides to come for them.

For a few years our next door neighbor was a local cop. We've met A LOT of local LEO over those years and yes, even though we lived in a deeply blue town and fairly blue area overall, every single one of them will would not be on our side now.
