I’ve literally been at a meeting where a traffic engineer gave a presentation on the changes they’ve made to that crossing over the years, and on possible future measures to convey in a more noticeable and airtight way that drivers should yield to cyclists 🤪

The driver did have time to cross the bike lane without hitting me, but IME when drivers make that calculation, sometimes it slides into “🚘 I can get across the bike lane without hitting anyone because they see me and have time to slow down and/or jam on the brakes.”
