Free buses work in small systems because ridership is low, and the cost of collecting fares exceeds the cost of recovery. Not the MTA. They really do need that money.

Holy crap am I glad I didn't try to stick around for sparring class, because after the normal karate class my body decided it is DONE. And freezing. The walk home from the bus stop was brutal and I am now wrapped in blankets and a heating pad.
