Holy crap am I glad I didn't try to stick around for sparring class, because after the normal karate class my body decided it is DONE. And freezing. The walk home from the bus stop was brutal and I am now wrapped in blankets and a heating pad.

The kata in kenshikai is pretty regimented. Shihan teaches that as well as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ,and he compares traditional karate to classical music and BJJ to jazz.
